This painting depicts the power and energy a river unleases in times of high water flow. The splash back is a result of rocks under the surface thfoughin the water back on itself and releasing energy. A reminder that with all the beauty of water there is a force and energy to be aware of and respected. This painting pairs well with Cascade.

This painting shows the force of water and it tumbles downstream in the spring. I was intriqued with the shapes of the water patterns as the water rose to crest and fall creating a sharp edge. The light is strong coming from an angle and accentuating the water patters. I loved the colors of the water, from a yellow green to a turquoise blue to a cooler cerulean blue against the warm burn sienna of the shoreline colors. This painting pairs well with Power Surge.
